Account and Data Deletion
This page explains which data is deleted and how Savepond handles an account-deletion request.
Effective date: 2026-05-18
How to request deletion
- During the beta period, submit an account-deletion request through the support information in Settings or by email to [email protected].
- Including the account used to sign in, the reason for the request, and a contact method that can be verified will help us process the request more quickly.
- Savepond currently uses a manual process in which the operator verifies the requester and account instead of providing an automated deletion button.
Scope of account deletion
- The Supabase Auth account and user-specific links, tags, collections, collection_links, and user_preferences records in the Savepond database are included in the deletion scope.
- Link titles, sources, notes, tags, statuses, favorites, collection descriptions, public collection slugs, and sharing URLs become inaccessible when the account data is deleted.
- Savepond cannot delete original accounts or content that already exists on external services such as Google, Kakao, or YouTube.
Processing period and no restoration
- We process a verified request as quickly as reasonably possible and use a target of up to 30 days during the beta period.
- After deletion is complete, previous links, notes, tags, collections, and public sharing URLs cannot be restored.
- Signing in again with the same Google or Kakao account may start a new account state.
Retention exceptions
- Records required by law or needed for security-incident response, abuse investigations, or dispute handling may be retained on a limited basis.
- Minimum operational records such as the reported collection slug, affected link, and handling history may be retained to process rights-infringement reports, respond to suspected illegal content, or enforce repeat-infringer restrictions.
- Records covered by a retention exception are used only for legal obligations and operational-risk response, not for the original service-use purpose.
Account-deletion contact
- Send account and data deletion requests to [email protected].
- Include the email address used to sign in, the reason for the deletion request, and a contact method that can be used to verify your identity.
- Until automated deletion is available, the operator will review the request and explain the deletion scope and retention exceptions before processing it.
